plastic stitchery workshop

You are cordially invited to come stitch with me in-person!

Come take a break after the holiday festivities, indulge in a bit of time for yourself and do some meditative hand stitching in the company of like minded souls. We’ll get cosy in my studio, dig into my supplies and have a playdate!

Play with what you ask?

Why single-use plastic of course! I’ll set up a still life composition or two, and show you how to interpret it in a plastic collage, and then how to add hand stitched details.

I’ll provide a base material for your artwork, needles and thread for stitching.

You are welcome to bring various soft single-use plastic packaging from home, like shopping bags and such, or you can just dip into my stash.

I’ll share all my tips and tricks for smooth stitching.

My favorite stitches and best practices for the ease of making them on single-use plastic.

You’ll learn how to make a collage in single-use plastic.

I’ll teach everything I know about this versatile free art material, and you learn how to embroider it like a pro. I’ll be there to guide you and troubleshoot with you the whole way.

You’ll come away with new skills, a new artwork and new friends as well!

We’ll play some soft music in the background, put on a pot of tea, indulge in some cookies, and sit around the table stitching and making art.
